DWYN.SN Scans is a small, yet growing scanlation team consisting of few girls active in introducing the world the stories coming from the small, yet growing country, Malaysia. The team solely exist to scanlate Vampire Knight but we are also responsible in scanlating the Malay projects. With the slight turns happening among ourselves, we may be forced to drop VK but we will still continue with our Malay projects.
The team is led by the young (who sometimes believed by others to be older than who she really is) but still growing, first time scanlator, cc.caelin. This is her other name and is rarely used unless needed and related to the scanlation team. While not being cc.caelin, the Madam Admin is widely active as a member of the Vampire Knight forum and someone who uses her LiveJournal and Facebook frequently. Her job as the admin of the team is really big, as she practically does everything needed. You might be surprised if you found out who she really is, btw.
Selfishly, she would say that DWYN.SN was born solely because of her. The team was born because she told her friends to scanlate VK, and then she started to throw in the Malay projects and as time flies, the team changed into a team scanlating Malay projects. For once, she was happy to scanlate her own’s nation’s stories for the world to see, really. Still, because she’s the only one scanning and translating, of course she felt that this team was all about her.
DWYN.SN Scans’s former name was Salva Nos Scans. How cc got these names? She randomly picked it out of the magic box. We don’t have any meaning with our scanlation team’s name, and we don’t practice what other scanlation teams often do; like celebrating the staffs’ members birthdays & communicating like a family with the staffs members and the members themselves. WE JUST DON’T.
We are a scanlation team, we do scanlations and most of us are just too busy to start a family with members. There’s tons more other forums like that and it’s such a waste of time, for us anyway. Plus, when we received spammers fake accounts inside the forum, it’s the sign that this idea should never be brought upon us again. That’s why the forum is strictly staffs-only.
Our team’s birthdate falls on November 20th. Even though it’s a special day, cc treated her birthday more as a special day and it is two months and two days earlier. If we have luck, we might do special releases, but most of the time, we release when we’re done with it. Our projects numbers are small, thus having special releases don’t do much. Heh.
Currently, DWYN.SN Scans is recruiting new staffs members to help out with our Malay projects. We will always love to have scanners, translators and editors to lift up cc’s work burden. Do check out the Recruitment page! Malay projects, maybe not as fun as the JP-CN-KR works, are still likeable. Special treat, despite the short number of pages, there’s colours everywhere!
Finally, cc.caelin do not work alone despite her claims that the team was hers, which was true in a way. She received various help from her staffs members and she’s happy to have them. Thank you all for your hard work. Please work harder! Ciao!
